During January and February 2018, I was one of several reporters at Battleford court house covering the trial of Gerald Stanley, accused of second-degree murder of Colten Boushie, a young Indigenous man from Red Pheasant First Nation. The trial drew national attention and eventually ended in a controversial not guilty verdict, prompting protests across the country.
On this page I am posting links to my trial coverage stories, as well as from the preliminary hearing and the show cause hearing. I am also posting videos here that I shot during the trial and which made their way onto social media.
