Oct. 21, 2015! Wow, way back in the Eighties this day seemed a long way off, eh?
And in the fifth inning, the Back to the Future movies’ prediction of a Chicago Cubs World Series win looks a long way off. 6-1 Mets after five.
(As a side note — it is too funny that this movie predicts Miami as the Cubs’ opponent. Miami was not in Major League Baseball when the Back to the Future movies were made. But the Miami franchise that eventually entered MLB in 1993, the Marlins, ended up handing the Cubs their most infamous defeat ever — the “Steve Bartman” fan interference game of 2003.)
