It’s not easy being Green; Darian Durant gone for the season

Saskatchewan waited all off-season for last night’s game, and look what happened. A total, effing debacle. Losing to Winnipeg is bad enough, but in the first half Roughriders star quarterback Darian Durant injured his Achilles and was carted off the field, and he is gone for the season. We all know what happened when he was gone for the season last year.

So after just one half of football, the Riders’ 2015 season is already down the tubes. At least we still have our “insurance policy” Kevin Glenn at QB but I am under no illusions this guy can lead us to the promised land — especially if our defence keeps on missing tackles like they did last night.

One down, 17 left to go. It’s going to be a long season in Riderville.
